Topic: WHY I WOULD LIKE TO CHOOSE LEO STAN EKEH AS MY BUSINESS IDOL AND ROLE MODEL.

Introduction: our history cling to us, we are shaped by where we come from, and it is always delightful to reckon the process of growth from personalities that shape the history of entrepreneurship. Dr. Leonard Stanley Ekeh is a Nigerian entrepreneur, and philanthropist. A citizen of Imo State, one who can be describe as the father of technology in Nigeria.
As an entrepreneur, Leo Stan Ekeh is known to have spearheaded the creation of the following companies: Technology Distribution Limited, Task Systems Limited, Zinox Technologies, Buyright Africa Dotcom Limited, Task Direct Limited, ITEC Solutions and many more.
Rated as one of the top tech CEOs in Nigeria according to Ventures Africa, Leonard Stanley Ekeh has earned a name for himself through his contributions to Africa’s ICT space. With his tech start-ups dating back to the 80s, Ekeh can be put in the bracket of visionaries who saw that ICT would define the world in no distant time.
On why he’s my business idol: I am a product of mentorship, and leaning has been my core value. Dr. Leo Stan is a great innovator, measuring and observing his address to people on how to operate a successful business in Africa has been the realest conceptualization. His passion for good works, exceptionality, and excellence, has made him to be ahead of many and remain a role model within and outside the business world.
At 64 years old, he is still going strong, and there is no telling what sector he might venture into next. He recently called for the declaration of a Tech Independence Day, and confidently said it is only a matter of time before Nigeria starts raising tech billionaires that would rival the likes of Jeff Bezos and Jack Ma.
Leo Stan is veridical, one who understands the importance of process, and balance, in the wave of time: no wonder, his business arrangement has been in technology from time immemorial.
He once said, ” The miracle of ICT is that, it’s the only profession in the world that can make the child of a poor man, the richest in the world. His business practicability is beyond reproached.
Lesson’s learned: Through him, I learn that, applying poor attitude towards life is the first steps to failure. Work hard, smart, and creatively. Hope is not a strategy as an entrepreneur, have a strategy, build a business that sustains, creating value is worth more than any form of wealth.
Conclusion: Like him, I want to build a business that will not be all about profit, but one that seeks to change the narrative, one that will experience, and give prospect and courage. As I get better in this learning march, I will apply all the skills I learnt, and will learn from him, in this journey’s, into African entrepreneurship and other facet.
