WHY I LIKE LEO STAN EKEH TO BE MY BUSINESS IDOL AND ROLE MODEL

Technology is a driving force that quickens the realization of practical solutions to overwhelm daily challenges faced in our society. A World without the influence of science and technology is synonymous to a man who wishes to cross a river without a boat but his legs. Therefore, the utilization of science and technology as a catalyst for rapid development in our society is sacrosanct. A renowned technocrat who has always shown great commitment via his impeccable contribution in advancing the use of technology across various areas of the Nigerian ecosystem is Leonard Stanley Ekeh also known as Leo Stan Ekeh. He is the founder of Zinox Technology Limited and Chairman of Konga.com. His vision and desire to make manifest a technological revolution across Nigeria and beyond is evident by his maximum degree of emphasis on technology as a tool to build and strengthen human capital and economic development. I affirm this with a good sense of conviction because; I have been privileged to be a beneficiary of Leo Stan Ekeh’s benevolent project on Information and communication Technology development and training. This happened when I was in secondary school as my school was fortunate to be among those who got a sponsored I.C.T project from Zinox Technology Limited. Zinox Technology provided a solar powered I.C.T laboratory for my alma mater. Then, I got a firsthand exposure on the use of (Zinox) computerized system to enhance my practical understanding on I.C.T. Obviously, that was how I got familiar with Leo Stan Ekeh and Zinox Technology Limited. Sincerely speaking, from my perspective as a computer engineering student, we cannot claim indifference over the numerous benefit and transformation the World has gained from technology. On my path, taking a clue from a successful business model as Leo Stan Ekeh and haven gotten the necessary skills in computer engineering and engineering technology, I have envisioned myself playing a key role in digital advocacy as my humble contribution in promoting a digital society. For anyone to fully incline towards the utilization of technology and technological devices, one has to be oriented with the basics of I.C.T, which forms the foundation. This is what Leo Stan Ekeh stands for and promote with his brand. With his tech company, he makes impressive effort in spreading the gospel of digital skill with a clarion call on both the public and private sector to embrace the use of technology to advance their activities. The mandate of local content as enshrined in the operations of Zinox Technology and Konga.com (an e-commerce platform) man by Leo Stan Ekeh expresses the possibility of developing technology from local resources that is feasible for our immediate environment. The World is in a technological age thus, there is need for us to constantly show enthusiasm in updating our digital mindset. This is because technology has now been seen to be very effective in all aspect of human endeavors ranging from medicine, engineering, business and entrepreneurship, civil service, agriculture, transportation, education and security with a view to achieve the formation of a digital economy. Similarly, as Chairman of Konga.com a well known e-commerce platform, Leo Stan Ekeh consistently provides the leadership of a technocrat in using digital channel or medium to facilitate online sales and delivery. This helps in creating employment opportunities and stimulates business growth. Finally, as a society, we need to make judicious use of technology to curb our challenges while it exists. This corroborates the words of Alan Kay (a Computer Scientist) that “Technology is anything that wasn’t around when you were born”. Leo Stan Ekeh in his expanded horizon has made technological provisions and contributions for the common good and benefit of mankind. Now, in like mind, I say to all and sundry let us connect, connect with Zinox Technology and connect with Leo Stan Ekeh.
