Dr. Peter Adejoh is a highly driven entrepreneur with a background in information technology, banking, finance, project management, and consulting. He has over 20 years of combined cognate experience in commercial and investment banking, project management, insurance, and finance.
He founded and currently serves as the Executive Chairman/ CEO of Camey& Rock Holdings, a diversified Pan-African investment company with vast business interests in banking, investment banking, financial services, fintech, commercial real estate, construction, and aviation. Subsidiaries of the group include Camey & Rock Business Consulting Limited, a business advisory and consulting company, Prime Luxury Address Limited, an exclusive real estate development company with choice projects in Abuja and Lagos; Plush Hospitality Limited, owners of Plush Hotels, a luxury-focused hotel brand, BMC Contractors Limited, a civil engineering and construction company, BMC Homes Limited, a residential development focused company, Duxbank Microfinance Bank Limited, a future thinking financial institution focused on financial inclusion and fintech, and Criston Energy Limited, a renewable power company focused on providing affordable and efficient green energy solution.
He also previously served as a Director on the Board of Resort Savings & Loans Plc (Mortgage Bankers), one of the leading mortgage banks in Nigeria at the time, quoted on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NGX).
Dr. Adejoh holds a Diploma in Computer Science from the University of Lagos, B.A. (Hons) in History from Moses OrshioAdasu University (formerly Benue State University), Makurdi. He is a certified Master Project Manager by the American Academy of Project Management, New York, USA. He has a Doctorate Degree (Honoris Causa) in Business Management from Université La Hégj, Benin Republic. He was also recently conferred a Doctorate Degree (Honoris Causa) in Management and Leadership by the American Management University, California, USA. Dr. Adejoh also recently completed the Advanced Business Foundation (ABF) program from Nexford University, Washington DC, USA. He has attended several training courses and seminars locally and internationally. Dr. Peter is a Fellow of the American Academy of Project Management (FAAPM), New York, USA.
Dr. Adejoh initiated his engagement with the corporate world early as an intern at Leadway Assurance Plc. He worked as a consultant to the British Council Department for International Development (DFID) on its Community Based Development Program for Benue CBOs in 2002. Peter has also worked at Socketworks Limited – Lagos, an ICT company supported by the International Finance Corporation (IFC). He last worked at First City Monument Bank Plc (FCMB), where he voluntarily exited to venture into private business.
Dr. Adejoh has contributed immensely through his private sector endeavour to developmental projects over the years. Notably, he played a key role, through his company, in ensuring the resumption of commercial flights into Makurdi.
The renowned financial expert and philanthropist, who is a recipient of several awards and recognitions, both locally and internationally, is an active and unswerving entrepreneur with a firm belief in Africa. His motivation is fueled by his desire to continuously engage in opportunities that will create valuable businesses for the advancement and development of Nigeria and the rest of the continent.
Dr. Adejoh, through the Peter Adejoh Foundation, has continued to impact lives through philanthropic gestures focused on education, health, and economic development, which cut across the broad spectrum of society. His unwavering belief in Africa drives him to create valuable businesses that contribute to the continent’s advancement and development.
Additionally, his recent philanthropic gesture of providing seed funding for SME startups demonstrates his large-hearted commitment to empowering others.
