Chief Alochu Francis Ikpobu is a dynamic and accomplished business leader with over two decades of experience in diverse sectors. As the CEO of Royal Supreme Trade & SAT Global in Ghana and Odochu Multi Concept Nig. Ltd., he has demonstrated exceptional entrepreneurial skills, strategic thinking, and a profound commitment to community service. His dedication to social causes is channeled through the Alochu Foundation, a non-profit organization he founded in 2005 to support widows, orphans, and the less privileged in Benue State. His international exposure, coupled with a strong educational background in business management equips him with a unique perspective and the ability to navigate and thrive in a global business environment.
Born on July 17, 1974, to Pastor and Mrs. Ikpobu Alochu in Oyibe, Obachita, Ukpa, Oju LGA of Benue State, Chief Alochu began his education at All Saints Primary School, Umoda-Oju, and completed it at LGEA School Ukpa in 1988. He attended GSS Ikachi in Oju LGA and later pursued a Diploma in Business Management from the International Academy of Management. He also studied Graphics and Web Design and Database Management at IPMC in Accra, Ghana. Chief Alochu is pursuing further education at a private university in Accra, Ghana, to prepare for greater leadership responsibilities.

Chief Alochu combines a rich blend of business acumen, international experience, and a heart for philanthropy, making him a well-rounded and impactful leader in any endeavor he undertakes. He is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Odochu Global Investment Ltd in London, Odochu Global Properties Investment & Management Company in New York, Emmyal Integrated Resources Ltd. His business interests cut across diverse sectors, including trade, technology, oil and gas, property development, marketing consultancy, and energy generation, transmission, and distribution to rural communities.
He spearheaded business operations and strategic initiatives, achieving significant growth and market presence in both Ghana and Nigeria. He oversaw the development and execution of key business projects, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and market demands and utilizes advanced business management techniques to streamline processes, enhance productivity, and drive profitability.
Despite his vast business empire, Chief Alochu’s true passion lies in philanthropy which is deeply inspired by the biblical verse Genesis 12:2, which speaks of being a blessing to others. He dedicates his resources to empowering youth, providing scholarships to indigent students, and improving the health and well-being of the less privileged, especially widows and orphans. His charitable endeavors reflect his deep-rooted belief in giving back to society and uplifting those in need.
Chief Alochu founded the Alochu Foundation, a non-governmental organization dedicated to charity work, youth development, and support for widows and orphans. He has, through the Foundation, implemented several projects, programmes and schemes across different spheres of human need for different communities, groups and people from 2004 to date. These take the form of scholarship schemes, support for local Churches, clean water projects, electrification projects, people empowerment, rural roads, sport development, medical assistance, etc. To mention just a few: he awarded scholarships to students of Ukpa origin in Oju LGA, donated musical instruments and funds for building projects at the Methodist Church in ObachitaUkpa, sank six boreholes across Oju and Ukpa communities to provide clean water, electrified the Obachita community, and co-founded the NUIS Senate Wing of Scholarship Scheme and awarded scholarships to 21 orphans and indigent students.
He also empowered 135 widows with financial support, registered 61 candidates for NECO and SSCE exams, with over 90% achieving excellent results, contributed to the construction of the Ukpa Town Hall and donating fertilizers to local farmers, supported the Kings Football Academy, funded medical treatment for individuals in need, etc.
Chief Alochu’s dedication to philanthropy and community development have not only earned him recognition but also the respect and admiration of many. He is a recipient of numerous recognitions, honours and awards. Chief Alochu was first honored with the chieftaincy title Odochu 1 of Ukpa in 2009 by his community. Since then, he has received numerous other accolades, including from the Epitome of Love and Care award, the Igede National Youth Council, and the News Impact Man of the Year 2017 by The News Impact Newspaper. Only last year, he was conferred with the title of OjonyeK’idoma, which translates to “The Compassionate One,” a title that vividly captures the essence of Alochu’s life, whose compassion and benevolence know no bounds.
The selection of Chief Alochu as The Top10 Magazine’s Humanitarian Hero of the Year is in recognition of his record of humanitarian interventions of touching lives and service to humanity through the Alochu foundation, which clearly stands him out as a father of compassion to the less privileged in the society.
