Emerging Political Star of the year
Hon. Moyosore Adebanjo is a creative and result-driven young man who has proven his ability to develop and implement ideas, and manage projects and programmes to meet expectations.
As a political activist, he coordinated the empowerment of over 8,000 polling units’ champions in Lagos State during the electioneering campaign and the day of election that contributed to the victory of PMB/PYO 2019 Re-Election, National Assembly general elections and the state general elections in Lagos State under the Project ACTNOW Lagos State.
Hon. Adenanjo served as a member of the Babajide Sanwo Olu Campaign Organization ICG, Onigbongbo LCDA Chapter, through which he facilitated the empowerment of petty traders through the Federal Government’s Trader Moni Initiative – over 4,500 benefitted.
He facilitated and coordinated Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme – an Empowerment platform to assist Artisans, cooperative society members, Market men and women in Ikeja LGA. Through BOI: N10,000 – N100,000 soft loan, a six months tenure facility without interest, through which 1,300 traders benefited between Dec 2016 – January 2017.
Hon. Adenanjo empowered 218 Youths and Women through capacity building in 2017 in collaboration with Bank of Industry, (BOI). He served as the Coordinator of the Jide Sanwaoolu Strikers (J’Strikers). Also, he influenced the enlistment of over 200 people as beneficiaries during the October 2014 Lagos State Economic Empowerment Programme through skill acquisition by ministry of WAPA
Hon. Adebanjo is now the Executive Chairman of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), a position he assumed in July 2025 with a promise to restore hope, build trust, and place the people at the heart of governance. He has been doing exactly that.
For over ten years, residents of Olusosun lived without access to clean water. Within weeks of assuming office, Hon. Moyosore provided them with clean water within his first month, thereby bringing lasting relief as well as restoring dignity and comfort to families long neglected.
Ahead of the International Youth Day 2025, he engaged youth representatives across Onigbongbo to co-create ideas for empowerment, innovation, and inclusion. He also launched the Moyosore Onigbongbo Youth Championship Cup — not just as a football tournament, but as a platform to nurture unity, discipline, and talent.
Recognising that no progress can thrive without safety, the Chairman convened a Security Dialogue with the Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC) and built a strong partnership with Commander of the 9th Brigade Cantonment for effective security coverage.
In a landmark move, Hon. Moyosore invited the NDLEA to Onigbongbo LCDA for a special sensitisation programme targeting the youth — a proactive step to curb drug abuse before it destroys the next generation. He also partnered with INEC officials to simplify voter registration. To further support the process, he provided the CVR committee with laptops and printers, making it easier for residents to register without stress.
Hon. Moyosore has ensured that governance touches lives in practical ways by setting a new tone for excellence in revenue generation, securing resources that will power more development.
So far, Hon. Moyosore Adebanjo has translated vision into visible action and laid the foundation for health and economic growth, the same way he had earlier translated various empowerment programmes into electoral victory for his party’s candidateds. The nomination of Hon. Moyosore Adebanjo as The Top10 Magazine’s Emerging political star of the Year is in recognition of his active involvement in the political development of Lagos state, especially his role and contribution to the growth and electoral fortunes of the APC in Lagos state over the years.
