Barr. (Mrs.) Patience Dappa is a visionary leader with an exceptional track record in law, corporate governance, and strategic management. As Group Managing Director of Masters Energy Group, she has played a pivotal role in driving innovation, achieving operational excellence, and fostering sustainable growth across the energy, finance, and manufacturing sectors.
With over 30 years of professional experience and more than 15 years of dedicated service at Masters Energy Group, Patience has held several critical leadership roles. These include Group Company Secretary and Legal Adviser/Head of Legal, Group Head of Human Resources, and Group Chief Operating Officer.
Barr. (Mrs.) Dappa was appointed Acting Group Managing Director/CEO, of Masters Energy following the resignation of the President and founder of the company, Dr. Sampson Uche Ogah, in 2019 to contest the Abia State governorship poll and subsequent appointment as a Minister by President Muhammadu Buhari. She was later confirmed substantive GMD/CEO following her satisfactory performance when she held away.

Barr. (Mrs) Dappa has been a pillar of support to Dr. Ogah since the return of the latter to the company after his ministerial stint. She has been leading the company management to implement major investment and expansionist moves. In last two years, Masters Energy has been positioning to expand its business, increase presence in the Nigerian market and ultimately achieve an exponential revenue growth through massive investment, partnerships, and new products. The repositioning has given birth to new and enhanced operations as well as new products and services.
She has demonstrated strategic foresight, delivering innovative solutions, streamlining operations, and navigating complex business challenges with resilience and integrity. As the current Chairman of JUHI 2, she continues to exhibit strong leadership and strategic vision.
Patience is deeply committed to lifelong learning and professional development. She has participated in executive leadership programs at some of the world’s most prestigious institutions, including the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford, the Judge Business School at the University of Cambridge, the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University in Canada, and Lagos Business School in Nigeria. These experiences have broadened her global outlook and strengthened her dedication to excellence in leadership.
Her professional affiliations underscore her expertise and standing in the industry. She is a Chartered Arbitrator and a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK), as well as the Chartered Institute of Directors (CIoD). She is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Credit Management Administration.
