WAG Queens to Launch Mega Women Empowerment Initiative in Nigeria
Lagos, Nigeria – October 2025 – In a bold move to advance gender equality and community empowerment, Women Aligned for Growth (WAG), in partnership with Women Aligned for Community Impact in Nigeria (WACIN) and other female-led NGOs, is set to launch a groundbreaking mega-collaboration project this November.
The initiative will be officially unveiled on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, Victoria Island, Lagos. This landmark project aims to activate a sustainable strategic roadmap to scale the impact of women’s empowerment across Nigeria.
A Transformative Initiative for Nigerian Women
This collaborative effort seeks to unify female-led organizations nationwide under a coordinated strategy focused on empowering women and promoting gender inclusion. The initiative’s key objectives include:
Strategic Planning: Developing a long-term, sustainable roadmap for women’s empowerment in Nigeria
Funding Mechanism: Establishing dedicated funding channels to upscale women-led initiatives
Collaboration & Networking: Building a robust network of female NGOs to foster partnerships, knowledge sharing, and coordinated action
Empowerment Focus: Equipping women to become agents of positive community transformation
Dr. Ifeyinwa Nwakwesi, Executive Chair of WAG, emphasized,
