The Top10 Magazine, one of Nigeria’s leading monthly publications, has conferred an excellence Lifetime Achievement Award, a foremost Nigerian professional in the diaspora, Amadiebube Mbama as the “Nigerian Diaspora Professional Icon of the year”.

The magazine said the award is in recognition Mbama’s “expertise and professional accomplishments in anti-money laundering and counterterrorism financing.

The Top10 magazine Excellence Awards is an annual event that celebrates and recognizes individuals, organizations, and brands that are outstanding in various endeavours.
According to a statement signed by the Editor-in-chief of the magazine, Mr Tony Iji, the award to Mbama is as a result of his record of professional service in the area of anti-money laundering and counterterrorism financing.

Iji further noted that the award to Mbama is in line with the core value of the magazine, which is to celebrate excellence and those who represent excellence in their various sectors.
Mbama is an accomplished anti-money laundering and counterterrorism financing expert. His footprints etched in the development and training of money transmitter regulators association members globally.
He was a supervisor with the Department of Financial Institutions, State of California. He is also a consultant on anti-money laundering to many financial institutions across the globe.
Beyond his strides in the world of anti-money laundering and counterterrorism financing, Mbama is an active member of his community. He is currently the coordinator of Global Igbo Leaders of various Igbo organisations.
Mbama was the former chairman of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and a former president of the Nigerian American Chamber of Commerce.
According to the organisers, the award ceremony is slated to take place in Abuja on December 15th, 2024, and it’s expected to be graced by crème de la crème of the society from both the public and the private sectors.
