With our deep experience and expertise in organizational, business and personality profiling and proficiency in assessment of people and organizations which has placed our publication arguably, in the best position to rate and accord recognition to the best in their various fields, our Board of Editors decided to institute an annual award event. First was the Annual The Top10 magazine Man of the Year award which was instituted from the inception of the publication. Few years later, we decided to add another annual award, The Top10 Magazine Excellence Awards.
While the Man of the Year award is conceived as annual award to honour one outstanding individual who has distinguished him or herself by impacting greatly in society in the year under review, the Excellence Awards on the other hand was conceived to be an annual event to celebrate and honour outstanding personalities and organizations that have made the difference in various endeavours in Nigeria. The objective is to celebrate and reward excellence in line with the core value of the magazine which is to celebrate individuals and organizations that represent excellence in the various sectors of the Nigerian society.
Consistent with the tradition of thoroughness associated with The Top10 magazine, the winners of the awards are normally selected based on their outstanding accomplishments in their various endeavours. They emerged after a rigorous selection process of many other equally prominent and outstanding nominees across the various categories, in an exercise that involved various stages of screening.
Since instituting the awards, we have used the platform to celebrate and honour many distinguished and credible personalities and organizations across different sectors of the society. Our award events are generally regarded as the most prestigious and credible events in the Nigerian media industry due to our adherence to merit and objectivity.
